Welcome to this week’s Track Picks, where we highlight some of 2026’s most daring and immersive experimental and electronic releases. From the visceral industrial chaos of Mandy, Indiana’s URGH, to the dub-infused rhythmic mastery of Brendon Moeller’s Shadow Language, and the dark, immersive intensity of KAVARI’s PLAGUE MUSIC EP, alongside the avant-garde textures of Gaute Granli’s Rosacea and the bold sonic explorations of our fifth featured release, these selections push boundaries, reward deep listening, and showcase the boldest sounds shaping today’s electronic landscape.

URGH, the second album from Mandy, Indiana, stands among 2026’s boldest releases. Expanding their abrasive, industrial foundation, the record blends noise, techno, post-punk and fractured electronics into a tense, immersive experience. Recorded across Berlin, Manchester and Leeds, it channels personal upheaval into every distorted pulse. Tracks like “Sevastopol,” “Life Hex” and “Magazine” surge with confrontational energy, while Valentine Caulfield’s French-delivered vocals cut between seduction and fury. A gripping guest verse from billy woods on “Sicko!” deepens its intensity. Challenging yet cathartic, URGH is a defiant, emotionally charged statement.

Released in 2026 via Samurai Music, Shadow Language sees Brendon Moeller refining his dub-rooted foundation while venturing into sharper rhythmic territory. Known for aliases like Echologist and Beat Pharmacy, Moeller fuses dub techno weight with drum’n’bass propulsion and subtle dubstep textures across 15 immersive tracks. From “Division by Zero” to “War Ghost,” the album balances momentum with spacious restraint, sculpting rich atmospheres from minimal elements. Broken, interlocking rhythms give it kinetic tension without overcrowding the mix. Both meditative and driving, Shadow Language confirms Moeller’s evolution as a master of depth and sonic precision.

PLAGUE MUSIC EP  marks a defining statement from Glasgow-based producer KAVARI. Across four intense tracks, she fuses drum & bass and dubstep foundations with abrasive textures and avant-garde sound design. Opener “PULSE” sets a brutal tone, while “IRON VEINS” delivers cinematic darkness and punishing low-end. “SERPENT CHAMBER” leans gothic and hypnotic, before “SCYTHE” closes on a sparse, haunting note. Challenging yet immersive, PLAGUE MUSIC confirms KAVARI’s reputation as a fearless force in experimental electronic music.

in early 2026 on Nashazphone, Rosacea is Gaute Granli’s latest immersive journey through fractured soundscapes, looping textures, and raw vocal expression. Tracks like “Carmelade” and “Wampir” blur genre boundaries, layering warped synths, processed vocals, and spectral rhythms to create music that feels both unsettling and captivating. Extended pieces such as “Tatting Shuttle” dissolve conventional structures, while moments like “The Greatest Opponent” offer unexpected melodic warmth. Challenging, unpredictable, and deeply engaging, Rosacea affirms Granli as one of experimental music’s most daring and singular voices, rewarding listeners who embrace its avant-garde intensity.
